Novotel – Paddington
Installation and Commission of Trend Building Energy Management System
Four Seasons Group subsidiary, Berkeley Controls Group have undertaken numerous projects within the hotel and hospitality sector, having an understanding of the importance of brand standards with the need to create robust and cost-efficient energy solutions that match client comfort while achieving high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability.
We have worked for most of the major hotel operators from luxury to economy including Accor, Marriott and Hilton, as well as a number of luxury operators such as Royal Garden Hotel.
In September 2008 Accor hotel group opened its flagship 4-star New Generation Novotel in Paddington. The New Generation Novotel is a style-led, urban hotel which has been designed to appeal to business and leisure travellers alike.
The design of the hotel also incorporates environmental considerations. The partially grass roof is not only aesthetically pleasing but also reduces waste water and encourages the natural habitat of local wildlife. Also, the use of ground source and air source pumps will mean that 10% of the hotel’s energy consumption will come from renewable energy resources.
Berkeley Controls were commissioned to design, install and commission a comprehensive Trend Building Energy Management System to maintain client comfort and minimise energy usage.
